The Lone Star (Austin) Section has invited us to attend the 2025 Hill Country Run which promises to be a great weekend for fun and camaraderie with your fellow MBCA members. It will be a two-night event. The dates are October 24, 25 and 26.

As Lone Star will be hosting, attendees will sign up directly with them, and they will be collecting the event fees. The registration and payment process will be a bit different from Fort Worth events, so please read and follow their instructions thoroughly.

Signup and costs for this event below. The room block and the event will sell out very quickly. Make sure you are able to secure a room BEFORE you register with Lone Star and pay their event fees.

The Fort Worth Section will meet Friday, October 24 at the Starbucks at 7429 Oakmont Blvd, Fort Worth, Fort Worth at 11:30am and caravan to Kingsland to meet up with other sections. There is also an alternative meeting place at 1:00pm in Hico. Please have lunch on your own before we meet. See maps and directions below.

Host Hotel: The Historic Hangar Hotel
The Hangar Hotel is not just for pilots. It is for anyone who wants more than just a bed and shower. The Hangar Hotel is a stylish adult environment featuring airplane memorabilia, USO history and the romance of the 1940s. Built new from the ground up, the Hangar Hotel was uniquely designed with an exterior appearance of a WWII hangar of the romantic 1940s.

Hotel Rate: $219 per night. For Reservations: Call 830-997-9990 and ask to book under Mercedes-Benz Club.
*Please note that there are a limited number of rooms available. Making your reservation as soon as possible is the most important step to ensure your spot for this year’s Run.

EVENT FEE AND ONLINE REGISTRATION:

The event fee is $75 per person and includes wine tasting and Sunday lunch. If you will not be attending the winery on Saturday or the lunch on Sunday, the event fee will be $60 per person. Please note that these establishments have requested payment be made with one check. Please make your check payable to MBCA Lone Star Section and mail it to:

Friday, October 24, 1:00pm. Valero gas station in Hico. Caution: the gas station name may have changed to Chevron or another company.

404 N 2nd St, Hico, TX. It is on the corner of TX-6 (2nd Street) and US-281, Hico, TX. Coming from Fort Worth, it'll be on the right.
